Wash Your Hands

All of we who make up me

I’ve been doing quite a bit of retrospection lately. Some of the most painful of those memories were the ones that happened while I was manic. My interpersonal relationships took a heavy beating; everyone from family, to friends, and even a lot of my teachers, were affected by it in some way. Recently I’ve been trying to reconnect with these people, and try to explain to them that this is not me. I’m not belligerent or confrontational, and I don’t come up with strange and bizarre ideas that could never come to be. Rebuilding bridges is a long and drawn out process, but it sped along simply by talking.
So anyone who has burned bridges, whether intentionally or not, there is a chance to fix what’s been charred. Not a guarantee, but you will find that most people will let go of the past once they understand your motives and drives that made you do what you did. And of course, above all, they want to see a changed person.
